In case you haven’t heard the news – Planting Seeds Counseling and Coaching has moved offices.
We’ve moved out of the house in the Historic District of Frisco into a newly constructed office in West Frisco. As with any change…
We let go of some things that we held fondly…
We let go of some things we were glad to see go.
At the same time we are beginning to grab hold of some things…
That are new and exciting while…
Enduring frustrations over things that are perhaps not as we had hoped.
So is the nature of change…
Some things must be let go of in order to fully grab hold of the new.
Today we switch the calendar over to a New Year. This is the time for many people to make new resolutions for the year. Maybe this year before looking at what I am hoping to grab on to…
I will first look at what I need to let go of to get there.
Perhaps some of the things I have held on to, I needed at some point…
Perhaps, I still do?
Perhaps their purpose has run out and it is time to let go to grab on to something new… To grow.
Perhaps taking a moment to say “goodbye” will help me be able to say
“hello” with a full embrace for the new.
Yep, it’s a new year, in a new building! However, as I look around at the offices loaded with boxes and yet to be placed office furniture, the faces I see are the same.
One thing I am sure of – the New Year will require some mourning and some celebrating. I am guessing your New Year will too. However, is not life about the relationships with those who are walking through change with us? My wish for us all this year is that those relationships are strengthened with love as you mourn and celebrate with the change…
… Whatever change that may be in this New Year.
