Meet the Planting Seeds Team

Jennifer Bradt, Co-Owner

  • Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who offers counseling services to children, teens, adults, individuals, couples and families.  Jennifer approaches mental and emotional wellness by addressing mind, body and spirit. She is EMDR-trained, IFS-informed, trained as a Brainspotting Practitioner and has completed a yearlong certification in treating Intergenerational Family Trauma.  In addition, she incorporates somatically-based techniques to invite holistic healing. She has worked in a variety of settings since her career began in 1997 including elementary, middle and high schools, two universities, and a community based domestic violence clinic where she worked with women and children who were healing from familial abuse.  Jennifer founded Planting Seeds after moving to north Texas in 2008.  Additionally, Jennifer is an engaging and informative public speaker who has presented on topics such as resilience, grief, trauma, forgiveness, stress management, chronic illness, shame, suicide, marriage, parenting, religious abuse and emotional intelligence.  Jennifer is certified to utilize the EQi 2.0 and the EQ 360 assessments of emotional intelligence in both counseling and corporate environments.

Jennifer believes that our lives are centered around the relationships we create and our perception of how well they are working.   We will all experience relational struggles and challenges during our lives, beginning with sibling rivalry, playground/peer difficulties and strained familial relationships. Furthermore, many will experience abuse within these same relationships.  Through her faith, education, professional training and experience as a daughter, sister, friend, wife and mom, Jennifer is able to connect with her clients and offer effective, individualized solutions which instill hope and encourage positive, effective change.

In addition to our human interactions, Jennifer believes it is important to explore who we are as spiritual beings. Many of her clients are working to heal from wounds inflicted in religious institutions or by harmful applications of scripture.  In 2023, Jennifer began a three-year program to become certified in Spiritual Direction through SMU Perkins School of Theology.  Regardless of faith background or belief system, she hopes to provide a space for her clients to explore this often overlooked aspect of self.  Jennifer resides in Frisco, TX with her husband and two dogs and has proudly and lovingly launched two amazing adult daughters.

Zach Baldridge MS LPC Prosper

Zach Baldridge

  • I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health from Texas Woman’s University in 2014. While at TWU, I volunteered as a clinical intern therapist with the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County.

There are quite a few common refrains I hear in counseling. One of my favorites is something along the lines of “you know… I really didn’t want to come here.” I’ll often hear this during an initial visit when we’re just beginning to get to know one another. It is equal parts confession and ice-breaker, and I never mind. In fact, I appreciate the transparency. It isn’t unusual to hear a similar version of that same admission several months in. As work is being done, and positive change is realized, clients will frequently look back to where they began and remark “you know…I really didn’t want to come here, but I’m so glad I did.”

Out of all the decisions we make, one solitary choice may seem insignificant. But our choices are like an investment and interest compounds each time we make them. For me, one of those choices was deciding to pursue a career as a Licensed Professional Counselor. That is where my passion and purpose intersect, and where my skills and interests come to life. My practice is geared towards helping men, women, and teens learn to process their emotions, explore new ideas in a safe environment, and gain the tools necessary to thrive in their day-to-day lives. Bridging the gap between expectations and results requires work, but it is worth the effort to achieve balance, joy and peace of mind.

Those are the same qualities I strive for in my personal life. I am a proud father to four wonderful young men. We all love the outdoors, and spend as much time as we can in the garden, camping, and riding bikes. I find a great deal of enjoyment building things for our house, as well as training in the martial art of Muay Thai. Outside of that, I gravitate towards older things – like vinyl records – and enjoy reading mystery/suspense novels, along with finding ways to practice sustainable living.

Cameron Gibson MS LPC Associate

Cameron Gibson

  • Supervised by Dr. Lisa Grubbs, Ph.D., LPC-S, CSC, GC-C, NCC

With a passion for empowering individuals to navigate life’s challenges, I bring over four years of dedicated experience in school counseling to my role as an LPC Associate. My journey in the field of mental health and counseling began when I graduated with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling from Texas Woman’s University.

During my internship and practicum, I had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, spanning from late elementary to early adulthood. This invaluable experience exposed me to a wide spectrum of issues, including time management, stress-related challenges, childhood trauma, depression, and anxiety. It became abundantly clear that the experiences we have as children profoundly shape our perspectives as adults and influence the way we navigate life’s intricacies.

Another area of specialty is working with athletes of all ages. As an athlete myself, I realize the importance of mindset during both training and competition. Partnering with those who are working to achieve excellence in their sport and struggling to manage their inner critic is a passion of mine.

My guiding philosophy centers on the belief that every individual, regardless of their background or life circumstances, deserves to feel valued and heard. I view the counseling space as a sacred ground where individuals can freely express themselves, unburden their hearts, and work towards personal growth. I’m dedicated to fostering an environment built on genuine relationships, empathy, and understanding.

Through active listening, empathy, and the formation of authentic connections, I aspire to create a therapeutic setting where individuals can rediscover their true selves. It’s my firm belief that this self-discovery and healing within the counseling room can have a profound impact on how individuals engage with the world beyond those four walls.

Together, we can explore, heal, and build the foundation for a brighter, more fulfilling future. My areas of expertise are helping children through adults (ages 12 to adulthood) who are looking to work through issues surrounding depression, anxiety, stress, life changes, and relationship issues.

I’m excited to embark on this journey of growth, healing, and transformation with you.

Betsy Morand

  • Hi, my name is Elizabeth L. Morand, however, I have gone by the name of Betsy most of my life. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist. I work with clients from a client centered approach. More importantly I work with my clients to find their creative expression through art where words fail to tell the story. I have seen the use of art and other expressive modalities explain the layers and complexities of issues in a way that other modalities do not.

I specialize in ages 8 to adults. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings that would include in-patient treatment centers for both children and adults, out-patient treatment centers for both children and adults, children in the foster care system, state run residential treatment centers, educational environments, veterans, and children with special needs including children on the spectrum.

I believe human beings are not defined by our emotional/mental health but rather are driven by many other facets of our lives. The emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of each of us is key to collaborating in the healing process.

My 17 years of experience as an art teacher and dyslexia interventionist have contributed to my success with art therapy and children. Helping children understand their differences and celebrating those differences gives me great joy. Additionally, aiding children to advocate for themselves and capitalizing on their strengths helps them to reduce stress and strengthen their self-image.

Lastly, if a picture can tell a thousand words, then how much more can art therapy reveal what our minds already know that we do not acknowledge. Helping clients arrive at their own answers through art is an experience that both myself and the client get to revel in.
