Jennifer Bradt, MS, LPC-S, NCC

Frisco

Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who offers counseling services to children, teens, adults, individuals, couples and families.  Jennifer approaches mental and emotional wellness by addressing mind, body and spirit. She is EMDR-trained, IFS-informed, trained as a Brainspotting Practitioner and has completed a yearlong certification in treating Intergenerational Family Trauma.  In addition, she incorporates somatically-based techniques to invite holistic healing. She has worked in a variety of settings since her career began in 1997 including elementary, middle and high schools, two universities, and a community based domestic violence clinic where she worked with women and children who were healing from familial abuse.  Jennifer founded Planting Seeds after moving to north Texas in 2008.  Additionally, Jennifer is an engaging and informative public speaker who has presented on topics such as resilience, grief, trauma, forgiveness, stress management, chronic illness, shame, suicide, marriage, parenting, religious abuse and emotional intelligence.  Jennifer is certified to utilize the EQi 2.0 and the EQ 360 assessments of emotional intelligence in both counseling and corporate environments.

Jennifer believes that our lives are centered around the relationships we create and our perception of how well they are working.   We will all experience relational struggles and challenges during our lives, beginning with sibling rivalry, playground/peer difficulties and strained familial relationships. Furthermore, many will experience abuse within these same relationships.  Through her faith, education, professional training and experience as a daughter, sister, friend, wife and mom, Jennifer is able to connect with her clients and offer effective, individualized solutions which instill hope and encourage positive, effective change.

In addition to our human interactions, Jennifer believes it is important to explore who we are as spiritual beings. Many of her clients are working to heal from wounds inflicted in religious institutions or by harmful applications of scripture.  In 2023, Jennifer began a three-year program to become certified in Spiritual Direction through SMU Perkins School of Theology.  Regardless of faith background or belief system, she hopes to provide a space for her clients to explore this often overlooked aspect of self.  Jennifer resides in Frisco, TX with her husband and two dogs and has proudly and lovingly launched two amazing adult daughters.
