Amy Burley, MA, LPC-Associate

Amy is a caring and practical therapist who is passionate about walking alongside her clients to help them find immediate improvements in coping and and the ability to heal long-held trauma. Amy is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Maribel Corona, LPC-S, RPT-S, and has prior experience as a school counselor and teacher. Amy works with children, teens, and adults and has provided counseling in schools, prevention programs for at-risk youth non-profit agencies and private practice settings. Amy has completed EMDRia certified training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy and has also completed extensive training in Play Therapy, in order to provide effective therapeutic approaches to assist individual client needs for treatment and healing.

Amy has helped many clients find relief and resolution for a range of concerns such as Depression, anxiety, phobias, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, parenting concerns, relational conflict/family conflict, life adjustments, trauma, women’s issues, and others. Her therapeutic style integrates insight-based talk therapy, mindfulness, EMDR, motivational interviewing, as well as the experiential modalities of Sandtray, expressive arts, and Play Therapy.

Amy offers both in-person sessions on Thursdays at the Planting Seeds Counseling Frisco location, as well as virtual therapy appointments. Amy is a self-pay therapist and her rate is $90. You may contact her for an appointment here: amy@plantingseedsntx.com.

In her free time, Amy enjoys painting, home decor and crafts; spending time with her husband and grown children; playing with her Schoodle Teddy and Boston Terrier Daisy; as well as gardening, riding bikes, taking walks, watching movies and doing crossword puzzles.
